Who should you start at running back in Week 9 of the 2026 fantasy football season?
Chris Welsh, Pat Fitzmaurice and Andrew Erickson break down the FantasyPros Expert Consensus Rankings for the top 36 running backs of Week 9, including the biggest ranking disagreements, matchup concerns and start/sit decisions fantasy managers need to make before lineups lock.
The guys discuss whether Bucky Irving still belongs firmly inside RB1 territory, how far Derrick Henry should fall without Lamar Jackson, why Quinshon Judkins could smash against New Orleans and whether Ollie Gordon deserves to be ranked ahead of several established veterans.
They also debate Tyler Allgeier’s workload with Jeremiyah Love sidelined, Blake Corum’s rapidly rising fantasy value, the confusing Ashton Jeanty vs. Mike Washington situation in Las Vegas and whether Dylan Sampson is actually a viable flex option.
Plus, get deeper running back plays for managers dealing with injuries, bye weeks or difficult flex decisions.
