Miami Dolphins face crucial offseason spending decisions as 2027 looms. Can they maintain their draft-and-develop identity while meeting the NFL’s cash spending floor? Kyle Crabbs examines Miami’s salary cap reality, highlighting just 35% of next year’s cap committed and why significant free agency moves—including potential splash contracts—are all but inevitable.
Key discussion points include contract extension possibilities for Patrick Paul, the market value of players like Sam LaPorta, Parker Washington, and Tuli Tuipulotu, and the strategic risk of overspending versus prudent roster building. Insights on the CBA’s minimum cash spend rules, lessons from the Green Bay Packers, and the delicate balance of signing character-questioned stars like Puka Nacua or Rashee Rice make this must-listen analysis for fans anticipating how Miami’s front office will shape the future. Will the Dolphins spend wisely, or be forced into big-money deals just to meet the league’s financial benchmarks before 2030?
