On this edition of Locked On Cavs, Danny Cunningham makes his predictions for the Cleveland Cavaliers ahead of the 2026-27 NBA season getting underway this week. He projects the Cavs to notch 51 wins, top the Central Division, and remain a cut above rivals like the Indiana Pacers and Detroit Pistons—even as the Eastern Conference looks fiercer than ever. Key topics include Donovan Mitchell’s All-NBA potential, the impact of James Harden on Cleveland’s offensive rating, and the evolving roles of Evan Mobley and Peyton Watson. With early season tests, relentless travel stretches, and tight margins in the standings, the discussion explores whether the Cavaliers can sustain elite play and why trade buzz is unlikely this year.
