Movement Therapist James Walsh teaching Spatial Movement Therapy

In 2009 my friend James Walsh was diagnosed with cancer – stage three melanoma. As an ex-rugby league player, James knew that when things get difficult you’re not supposed to hide. He tackled his diagnosis head-on, displaying an inspiring strength of mind and ability to lift when the game was on the line.  He had an operation to have the lump in his groin removed and began an intensive learning period about how the body reacts to stress and what impacts food and exercise have on all the important systems of the body, including the lymphatic system. On the way he learnt a lot about himself. He’s now a passionate advocate for participating in the management of your diagnosis. Listen to the podcast to hear his story.
