There are some movies we talk about where we shower them with praise. Some we pelt with angry pleas to an indifferent movie god. Today is one of those rare films where we throw our hands up and ask, “But why?” We’re talking about READY OR NOT 2: HERE I COME, and we have questions, like: what happened to all the character choices? Why am I supposed to be afraid of that dude? Was that person here just for stunt casting? Why are we relitigating the Scream franchise? We like all of the people involved… so why does this highly anticipated sequel add up to “It’s Fine”? All this, plus unkicked puppies, erection measurements, new money evil, knife guys, angry exes, a bunch of blood-splosions, and a very expensive edition of Choose Your Own Deathventure. We made a deal with Mr. Le Bail to cover this movie, and we're not breaking our promise!
