Hey, it's Kate. This one's a little different. I’ve mentioned a few times that I have needed to step back for a few things, and I’m finally ready to share more about what’s been happening behind the scenes.
In April, I was diagnosed with breast cancer via a routine mammogram. I've kept it private until now, and since it's October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, it felt like the time to share.
I’ve been in the midst of surgery, radiation, and a million doctor's appointments, but I’m coming up for air, and that feels good. A different version of Kate, but still me.
I'm not going to tell the whole story here. I recorded a longer video on YouTube where I walk through what happened, what I learned about my own business when I couldn't be in it, and why it's shaping the book I'm writing with Lulupublishing. But if you only hear one thing from me today, let it be this. If you're due for a mammogram, book it. Don't wait for the business to slow down. It won't.
