In Episode 213 of Film Focus, it’s a double bill of animation with The Day The Earth Blew Up and Goat. Both are visually stunning but have very different tones and ambitions. One taps into Looney Tunes nostalgia and chaos, whereas the other attempts to continue Sony Pictures Animation’s hot streak of redefining modern animation. But do they live up to expectations?
