Today's episode of the Heart-Centred Business Podcast started as a reply to a question I received after episode 507—the one where I talked about niching and said, "Stop making it about yourself, you're not the main character." After that, someone messaged me asking, "But Tash, don’t I actually need a bit of main character energy in my business? Shouldn’t I be stepping more into the spotlight?"

I loved that question so much, I knew we had to dig into it. So let’s talk about what main character energy really is in business, and where you absolutely should—and shouldn't—lean into it.

When Should You Embrace Main Character Energy?

You might be surprised to hear me say this, but: absolutely yes, I want you to embrace main character energy. I want you to step into the spotlight, as often and as proudly as possible… when it comes to your story.

Let me explain. In episode 507, I talked about niching and why it's not about you. When you’re making decisions about your niche, your messaging, and your sales pages, it needs to focus on your ideal client. You are the guide, not the main character of that story. Your audience—the people you serve—are the heroes.

But that doesn’t mean everything in your business is about them and you somehow disappear. Quite the opposite.
