#3754: "Balance" Does Not Mean "Equal”

Balance does not mean giving everything the same amount of time, attention, or resources. Not everything is of equal priority or necessity, so treating everything equally can actually keep you from giving enough to the things that matter most.

Real balance is about allocating your resources according to priority and necessity. Your priorities change as your circumstances change, and the goal is to make sure your resources match your objectives instead of trying to make everything equal.
