The federal government claims more than 250,000 noncitizens are on voter rolls in four U.S. states. Officials in those states, though, expressed doubts about the accuracy of those claims and the federal government has not publicly explained how it came to those conclusions. We look into the claims, and why state election officials are worried about what the government alleges.
