Mastodon have filed to dismiss part of the lawsuit brought by Brent Hinds's estate, which alleges disputes over his 25 percent interest in the band and the use of his likeness on the Marrow Deep cover, and says the band offered $80,000 for his stake. The band has called the suit meritless; Monday's filing argues it owes nothing for the cover and wasn't obligated to buy him out. Scott Penfold on the number that will follow this case.
