What is the CentroidCNC Acorn? The Acorn is a User Friendly, DIY CNC Control board for Milling Machines, Lathes, Routers Tables and other CNC Machines. In this episode of the CNC Router Tips Podcast Bill Griggs talks about his experiences with the CentroidCNC Acorn.
We discuss the Acorn Updates from the earlier version of the CNC Control board to the present version. Some of those features are more relays, status LEDs and removable header sockets. With CNC12 controller software users can control CNC router tables, Milling machines, lathes and more from the same basic interface with modifications for each type of machine.
Bill Griggs has also been working on converting a Rhino ST-6 CNC lathe to work with a CentroidCNC Acorn with Closed loop Stepper motors.
