I love the way Source finds ways to guide us. Sometimes it happens during meditation, sometimes while walking in nature, and sometimes through the simple act of putting color on a page.
In this episode I'm joined by my friend Constance Chapman. Constance has spent more than 50 years working with women, helping them reconnect with their own deep wisdom. With degrees in Women's Spirituality and Creative Inquiry, she brings a beautiful blend of spiritual understanding and creative exploration to her work, especially with women over 65.
We had such a lovely conversation about creativity as a doorway to the wisdom of your soul and how that wisdom can guide the way you build your business. And here's something I love. You don't have to consider yourself an artist to access this magic. You simply get to be curious about what Source wants to show you.
If you've been wrestling with a decision in your business, wondering what's next, or feeling a little nudge from your soul to explore something new, I invite you to listen.
Episode Highlights
00:03: Creativity, Wisdom, and Women's Work
An introduction to creativity as a way to move beneath overthinking and self-doubt, to make better, clearer decisions.
01:40: Quieting Self-Doubt
A pandemic-era insight for Constance ..."It's acrylic, you can paint over it" helped make room for creativity by easing the pressure to get things right the first time.
03:01: Building a Business That Feels True
Choosing intimate small-group work over chasing a large audience can help shape a business around personal strengths, joy, and connection.
05:44: Creativity as Inner Guidance
Creative practice can bring attention into the present, making it easier to hear insights that may be obscured by overthinking or outside advice.
10:22: From Inner Critic to Discernment
The critical voice can become a helpful editor and partner when it supports refining an idea instead of judging the person creating it.
12:30: Creativity Without Artistic Training
Creative work is about expressing what's within, not making polished art. Color, marks, and movement can offer a starting point for anyone.
14:26: Simple Practices for Clarity
Doodling or making slow, intentional marks with pencils or markers can help bring feelings into view and reveal what may need attention.
18:38: Slowing Down for Better Decisions
Brief pauses can help shift business choices away from fear and scarcity toward greater clarity and groundedness. Even a few minutes of creative reflection can offer a reset.
