Keith McHenry, co-founder of the Food Not Bombs movement, discusses his family’s deep American roots and how despite a lineage connected to the founding of the country which also participated in parapolitical events, McHenry took a radical departure toward anarchism and social activism. He describes the evolution of his organization, which provides free meals as a form of nonviolent protest against military spending and corporate dystopia. He details his extensive history of political arrests, his experiences with state repression and torture, and his commitment to aiding the homeless. He outlines the digital dystopia being built all around us and suggests mutual aid as one of the few things that will get us through.
