Hulk Hogan takes Hollywood by storm...or at least gives it his best shot!
This week on The Odd Podcast, Joe Parisi welcomes wrestling historian, author, and podcaster Brian Solomon for a deep dive into the 1989 cult classic No Holds Barred! We break down the outrageous action, over-the-top performances, and behind-the-scenes stories surrounding the WWF's first major attempt to turn Hulk Hogan into a Hollywood leading man.
We'll also explore the many professional wrestlers who appeared in the film, its lasting legacy in wrestling and pop culture, and the fascinating wrestling career of Tommy "Tiny" Lister Jr., the actor who brought the terrifying Zeus to life and eventually stepped into the ring to battle Hulk Hogan for real!
It's wrestling, Hollywood, and a whole lot of 1980s insanity. WHATCHA GONNA DO?!
