This week, Jess Ninaber continued our Advent series by lighting the candle of Joy. Joy is both in the waiting and in the fulfillment, as we see in Isaiah 35—a promise of restoration fulfilled in the coming of Jesus. Unlike fleeting happiness, biblical joy is deep and steady, anchored in God’s faithfulness and His presence with us in every season. As we wait expectantly for Jesus' return, we are invited to find joy in His promises, trust His timing, and cultivate joy through gratitude, worship, and hope.
