In 1952, inside a secret laboratory in Maine, a doctor entered a trance and allegedly made contact with something calling itself “The Nine.” What began as a bizarre experiment would grow into a decades-long mystery. Throughout the 1970s and ’80s - and reportedly even today- different people around the world claimed to receive messages from the same mysterious intelligence. But what exactly were The Nine? Benevolent beings offering humanity a message? Something darker? A psychological phenomenon? Or was the entire story connected to experiments in mind control and manipulation?
The Nine Tapes investigates the strange history behind one of the most enduring - and little-known - mysteries of the paranormal, using a remarkable archive of original recordings, documents, and never-before-heard channeling tapes dating back to the 1950s. For the first time, we’ll hear the voices, follow the evidence, and attempt to answer a question that has remained unresolved for more than seventy years: Who - or what - are The Nine?
