Studying History at Chapman University provides students with the knowledge and tools of history, but also provides a sense of roots, and a broader perspective on the diverse regions and peoples of the world. The BA in history teaches students how to think, how to analyze different kinds of problems, and provides a solid foundation for such careers in teaching, law, business, historic preservation or archival management. Students can work in Chapman’s Center for Cold War Studies or the Rogers Center for Holocaust Education. For everyone’s enjoyment Wilkinson’s College of Humanities presents its “A Night With…” program in which a Chapman professor “becomes” the important writer, artist or thinker they have spent years of their life studying. Showing the benefits of knowing where our society came from is Chapman’s way.
