One of the most exciting aspects of electronic publishing is the ability to create and manipulate full-color graphics. Adobe Illustrator is the industry's leading illustration and page design program for the Macintosh and PC. The software program features text handling capabilities, tools that automate drawing tasks, libraries of patterns and custom colors, and built-in support for Adobe Photoshop and its filters.
Students will learn to operate Adobe Illustrator CS2 proficiently. Class lectures will be supported with hands-on demos and audiovisual presentations. The lab portion of this class consists of a series of illustration assignments designed to highlight the features of the program.
