Brisbane Lions forward Kai Lohmann joined Stav, Abby & Matt and was refreshingly honest about missing out on All-Australian selection this year.

“I thought I had a pretty good year as a small forward… but I didn’t finish off the last two games very well, so I sort of shot myself in the foot.”

He still congratulated the selected players, spoke about the team’s strong position heading into finals, and touched on the recent off-field noise around the competition (including feeling for the Sydney Swans women’s side whose historic moment was overshadowed).

Kai also shared how the group is staying focused and keeping each other in check during the short break before facing Sydney.
