Ok so Skyfall is one of those films that not only deconstructs what a James Bond Movie is but it also rewrites embraces the old ways while carving a new path forward. As of today it’s still the highest grossing film in the franchise with it grossing a whopping 1.1 billion dollars. For as good as the film is on a surface level I think where it soars is in its thematic payoff which comes from the final scene.
