In September 2023, the New Mexico State Police released videos from their response to the deadly shooting of 13 year-old Amber Archuleta in Questa. Widely reported by news outlets at the time, the footage purported to reveal a clear picture of the incident. It showed a group of teens caught in a lie and one parent’s irresponsible behaviour leading to legal consequences.
