World Environment Day is celebrated annually on 5 June. Over the past five decades, it has become one of the largest global platforms for environmental outreach. Every year, tens of millions of people along with governments, companies, cities and community organisations get involved. In 2024, Saudi Arabia is hosting the celebrations with a focus on land restoration, desertification and drought resilience under the #GenerationRestoration campaign.
