ABOUT STEFAN: Stefan Kerkhofs is a Belgian entrepreneur and innovator, best known as the co-creator of the Dinner in the Sky concept. This unique dining experience involves lifting diners, chefs, and a table 50 meters (about 150 feet) into the air using a crane.
The concept, launched in 2006 alongside marketing expert David Ghysels, has become a global phenomenon, operating in more than 80 countries. It is celebrated for its mix of culinary excellence and adventurous atmosphere, often drawing celebrity attention and media coverage. Kerkhofs' entrepreneurial journey began with his company Benji Fun, which introduced bungee jumping to Europe in 1990. Later, he expanded into creating innovative and high-profile events through his company, The Fungroup. His background in technical mechanics, gained from working with his family's crane business, played a significant role in his ability to design such creative and daring concepts.
