Mark & Jack once again join in on K103 Live Day, this time to put some Ordinary Observationism on the time-honoured, yet in-vogue hobby of running great distances in terrible conditions. Mark pulls the starting trigger with Marathon Des Sables, the 7 day long, 250+ km epic adventure race through the Sahara Desert in Southern Morocco. Jack registers a hearty DNF in the 1904 Olympic Marathon in St Louis. Terribly organised but featuring an array of colourful characters, this marathon has gone down as one of the most bizarre events in sporting history. Mark struggles to comprehend the mental fortitude displayed by Austrian man Rainer Predl, who ran 70 km in laps around his kitchen table. And we contemplate the horror of running 200 miles underground, in the darkness with only your own thoughts and 39 other sweaty ultra marathon runners. All this and a whole lotta laughs, this time on Ordinary Observations.
