He eventually led a small team, and before taking an opportunity at Bentley as the Manager of Electrical Test, Integration, and Build—a role that became the springboard for his leadership career in Electrical & Electronic Engineering.

At Bentley, Matt led a highly skilled and determined team, and his leadership was improved by a 12-month Volkswagen leadership programme, where he attained the Volkswagen leadership license. This program provided him with valuable tools that helped him navigate complex situations throughout his career.

After seven successful years at Bentley, Matt was offered the opportunity to lead a department consisting of four talented teams. He is now the Head of Architecture & Diagnostics at Aston Martin, a position he has held for two years. In this role, he is responsible for EE Architecture & Networks, Systems & Feature Engineering, Functional Safety, Vehicle Cyber Security, and Diagnostics.
