El: Ο Κώστας έτρεχε στο γήπεδο.
En: O Kostas was running on the field.
El: Ο φθινοπωρινός άνεμος φάνηκε να του δίνει φτερά καθώς σκεφτόταν τον μεγάλο αγώνα που πλησίαζε.
En: The autumn wind seemed to give him wings as he thought about the big match approaching.
El: Ήξερε ότι στο προπονητικό καμπ στις νότιες περιοχές, ειπώθηκε ότι θα ερχόταν ένας σκάουτερ.
En: He knew that at the training camp in the southern regions, it was said that a scout would be coming.
El: Ο Κώστας ήθελε να τον εντυπωσιάσει.
En: O Kostas wanted to impress him.
El: Αλλά κάτι τον ανησυχούσε.
En: But something worried him.
El: Τα παλιά του ποδοσφαιρικά παπούτσια ήταν φθαρμένα.
En: His old soccer shoes were worn out.
El: Ήθελε καινούρια.
En: He wanted new ones.
El: Έτσι, το απόγευμα βρέθηκε στο μικρό αθλητικό κατάστημα κοντά στο γήπεδο.
En: So, in the afternoon, he found himself at the small sports store near the field.
El: Ήταν γεμάτο χρώματα από αθλητικό εξοπλισμό, φωτεινά πουκάμισα, πολύχρωμες μπάλες και φυσικά, παπούτσια.
En: It was full of colors from sports equipment, bright shirts, colorful balls, and, of course, shoes.
El: Εκεί ήταν και η Ελένη και ο Γιάννης, δύο φίλοι του από το καμπ.
En: Eleni and o Giannis, two of his friends from camp, were there too.
El: «Τι ψάχνεις;
En: "What are you looking for?"
El: » τον ρώτησε η Ελένη, βλέποντάς τον να κοιτάει τα ράφια προσεκτικά.
En: i Eleni asked, seeing him carefully eyeing the shelves.
El: «Νέα παπούτσια,» απάντησε ο Κώστας.
En: "New shoes," o Kostas replied.
El: «Αλλά τα ιδανικά είναι λίγο ακριβά.
En: "But the ideal ones are a bit expensive."
El: »Ο Γιάννης χαμογέλασε.
En: O Giannis smiled.
El: «Γιατί δεν κοιτάς τις εκπτώσεις;
En: "Why don't you look at the discounts?"
El: » πρότεινε.
En: he suggested.
El: Εκείνη τη στιγμή, ο Κώστας είδε το ζευγάρι που ήθελε.
En: At that moment, o Kostas saw the pair he wanted.
El: Ήταν σε έκπτωση, αλλά δυστυχώς, μόνο σε μεγαλύτερο νούμερο.
En: They were on sale, but unfortunately, only in a larger size.
El: Παραλίγο να απογοητευτεί, αλλά θυμήθηκε τη συμβουλή της προπονήτριάς του.
En: He almost got disappointed, but he remembered his coach's advice.
El: «Πρέπει να είσαι ευέλικτος,» του έλεγε συχνά.
En: "You must be adaptable," she often told him.

En: Without thinking much, he decided to try them.
