This week on Yeti Legs & Basecamp we are talking to Jon “Pa’at” Anderson ( Pa’at and Wonder ), our modern-day version of John Muir, but this guy is all about respecting the Indigenous Peoples that once lived along our trails and protected places. Pa’at’s childhood kept him out in the wilderness, exploring all that grows and weathers. That experience translated into who he has been throughout adulthood; his time spent as a ranger, his hike along the PCT (including meeting Tumbleweed, Basecamp, and me), and so much more. In this part 1, we wrap with a conversation about what it means to hike on native lands and respecting those who came before.
Special cohost for today’s episode is Christopher “Tumbleweed” Maples ( Christopher Maples ).
