ORKLA is a leading supplier of branded consumer goods and concept solutions to the consumer, out of home and bakery markets in the Nordics, the Baltics and selected markets in Central Europe and India. Orkla is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange and has its headquarters in Oslo, Norway. Their revenue in 2021 surpassed NOK 50bn. With over 21,000 employees in nearly 30 countries, over 100 factories and 300 local brands, the companies are cornerstone companies and important employers in their local communities.

Marta Hammer Rasmussen, VP DE&I, Performance & Talent Management in Orkla ASA comes from a background in finance. She has worked over 15 years at Orkla, and decided to pursue her further career in HR. As part of her many areas of responsibility, Rasmussen also has dedicated responsibility for Diversity and Inclusion in Orkla. 

In this episode we discuss the culture and work around DEI in Orkla, what their focus is moving forward and why. One of Orkla's goal statements are to recruit women in 50% of leadership positions at all levels by 2025. This has raised the question of why this was not implemented in the recent changes in top management in the company. Rasmussen addresses this in our conversation and the attention this got in their markets and internally in the company.
