To get into today’s news and culture updates, City Cast DC producer Ashe Durban and Washington City Paper’s Cat Sposato join the show to chat about DCPS facing major cuts, a D.C. coffee staple unionizing, and Real Housewives of D.C. finally being released on streaming.

We wanted to issue a quick correction for some misstatements in this episode. You might remember we had a segment about funding for DC public schools. Our producer Ashe mentioned that 200 positions are going to be cut, district-wide. Just want to clarify that that's not all teachers! It's 200 staff positions total. Also, the childcare fund is to support daycare workers, not pre-k and kindergarten teachers. We apologize for the error and know this budget stuff is confusing. So confusing that we’re actually talking to the budget director about it in a future episode! So if you have questions like we do about the city’s budget for next year, tell us!
