It feels important to be sharing this beautiful and wise conversation I had with indigenous medicine woman, Asha Frost, during the week of the Thanksgiving holiday and Native American Heritage Day. I hope that if you are celebrating Thanksgiving this Thursday I hope you will consider the implications of colonization on indigenous people around the world and will also celebrate Native American Heritage Day and learn about the indigenous people’s land you are living on. You can find that information through Native Land at native-land.ca

Asha Frost (she/her) is an Indigenous (Ojibwe) Medicine Woman, author, and member of the Cape Croker First Nation. She is the best-selling author of You are the Medicine and The Sacred Medicine Oracle, and has guided thousands of people through profound and lasting transformation.

In this episode, Asha and I discuss:

- Asha’s background and lineage and what brought her to her work today

- Generational trauma and ancestral healing and how Asha has and is moving through the journey of healing generational trauma in her lineage

- What she sees for the future of "wellness" and healing, especially in regards to how we move past the rampant cultural appropriation happening in today's toxic and white-washed wellness world

- Asha’s beliefs about the future of capitalism and other dominant systems of today

- We close with Asha pulling three cards from her gorgeous oracle deck, The Sacred Medicine Oracle, and sharing the card’s wisdom with us
