Today we spoke with David Dunne – CEO and co-founder of Hexis Performance, Performance Nutritionist, and Tech Startup Entrepreneur.
David has a stunning CV in relation to performance nutrition. He has worked with the European Tour, ORRECO, British Canoeing, Bradford Bulls, Ryder Cup Team Europe, Harlequins rugby, and the Italian Rugby Federation. He has a Ph.D. in Nutrition, Behaviour Change, and Technology. David is the co-founder of Hexis Performance, a predictive, personalised and periodised app for nutrition, which is backed by cutting-edge science based on the premise of carb coding to meet the demands of recovery and training schedules.
We spoke about the life of a caddy in pro golf - we had caught up with David during the Irish Open when he was caddying for Paul Dunne. David discussed the nutritional and hydration requirements for going round a golf course, and other key pieces that could improve performance during a round of 18. We unpacked the journey of Hexis, the mission of Hexis - and how it has changed with customer input, scaling, and the team. David explained live energy and carb coding from the innovative app - and behavioural change.
