Embodied AI involves working with real world physical systems and robots that use AI to interact with the physical world whilst learning from their interactions. Researchers in this field of AI are moving away from a strictly algorithm-led approach and instead attempt to first understand how biological systems work, develop general principles of intelligent behaviour then apply this knowledge to build artificial systems such as robots.
