In this show I attempt to guide the listener into transpersonal states of awareness via extended-length, unscripted, reflexive investigations into subjectivity and objectivity. I walk and talk continuously for 4 hours (or until my battery runs out), constantly reporting my experience. I tend to avoid story-telling, instead focusing on the here-and-now, which inevitably involves you, the listener, and how we effect each other's experience through this act of communication. Quite often, over the course of an episode, the apparent boundary between self and other breaks down, and we gain a higher perspective on the nature of reality and what we really are.
You could consider Walking and Talking an attempt to use language to express as clearly as possible that which language is not supposed to be able to express - the ineffable. This show may be difficult to listen to and pay attention to, due to my unwillingness to sensationalize things or to dress up reality as anything other than what it is in each moment, but I believe that the attention you give to it will be rewarded in the end. It may not be immediately apparent to you or to myself what the "point" of this show is, because each episode's meaning is discovered through the process of making it (on my end), and listening to it (on your end). If you are patient enough to stick it out through all the unknowing, the meaninglessness, and the banality, you might experience the emergence or revelation of meaning in real time.
Some of the conceptual frameworks that tend to arise in this show are philosophy of mind, psychology, metaphysics, and spirituality.
