Lynne Hughes lost both her parents by the age of 12. She recognized the lack of resources available to her as a grieving child, and into adult life realized child bereavement resources were still nonexistent. So, she took her love for summer camp and founded Comfort Zone Camp, the first-ever national 501(c)3 bereavement camp for grieving children and families. Since its inception in 1998, CZC has helped over 24,000 grieving children.
