Surah al Baqara continues with the command for pilgrims to engage in remembrance of Allah Most High. Shaykh Abdul-Rahim Reasat explains the duration of the stay at Mina according to the different schools of thought and beautifully illustrates the connection between remembrance, taqwa, and tawbah. In the following ayat, Allah Most High distinguishes the people into two broad categories: the hypocrite and the sincere. These verses teach us that there should be no contradiction between our words and actions. Likewise, we should not get impressed by others' appearance but rather their good character.
