This EASL Studio showcases cutting-edge research elucidating the role of the liver in ageing and exploring its role as a regulator of health and longevity. In particular, the liver’s function in modulating systemic ageing, its ability to buffer genetic and metabolic disturbances, and its influence on the progression of age-related diseases is discussed. Last but not least, panelists provides new insights into potential therapeutic strategies aimed at promoting healthy ageing by targeting liver-specific mechanisms.
