Ben & Rob conclude their Alien saga with Fede Álvarez’ latest franchise entry ‘Alien Romulus’! Set between the events of Alien (1979) and Aliens (1986), Fede’s latest crime against a fanbase stars Cailee Spaeny, David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Isabela Merced, Spike Fearn, and Aileen Wu as a young crew desperate for a chance at changing their miserable lives. When a derelict spacecraft falls into their orbit, they must escape the Xenomorph infestation that lurks within to have any chance of survival.
But with prior attempts to revitalise Ben’s favourite franchises ringing hollow, has Fede Álvarez finally broken his curse? Does this film live up to the massive weight of expectation both hosts had when they bought their many MANY tickets? Does this young but talented cast get given the script to really showcase their terror at one of cinema’s all time greatest villains? And what IS the collective noun for a group of face-huggers?
