Tonight's story to help you sleep is Cranford by Elizabeth Gaskell. First published in 1852, Cranford is an episodic novel about a fictional town inhabited by mostly women. It was also the inspiration for the popular BBC TV series from 2007 to 2010. In this episode, meet the Cranfordians.
