Right before every trip I have taken to Costa Rica in the last year, a book has found me before I left. It is never a book I go looking for but one that seems to find its way to me and without question, I read it.

First it was The Monk who Sold His Ferrari, then it was the Celestine Prophecy and this trip it has been The Way of the Peaceful Warrior.

As it usually goes in life, if we open our eyes to the synchronicities that exist all around us, every book has aligned perfectly with what was happening around me and has acted as a guide and a teacher to navigate my humanness.

The Way of the Peaceful Warrior could not have come to me at a more perfect time. The book’s general theme: Responding vs Reacting to life (one of many, many powerful lessons awaiting you in the pages) was the inspiration for today’s episode.

My most recent Own Your Shit retreat in Costa Rica was far from what I imagined it would be.

As hard as it was, it gave me one of the greatest gifts I could ever ask for (as it also usually goes in life, if we choose to see it that way): Choose to react and lose myself or choose to respond and find myself.

And so I chose to respond and the results of that choice will have ripple effects for the rest of my life.

Listen to today’s episode if…

🤷🏻‍♀️ You have historically let your emotions control you and your decisions and you are ready to change it

🤷🏻‍♀️ You want to learn how to stay grounded when shit seems like it’s hitting the fan around you

🤷🏻‍♀️ You want to experience the unparalleled freedom that comes from not letting your automatic behaviors and responses rule your life

There is so much power in choosing to take the space to consciously respond to life.

I hope this episode inspires you to own that power of choice and choose your highest self
