In this 12th episode of the ECM podcast we’re joined by the acclaimed American guitarist and long-time ECM recording artist Steve Tibbetts, whose discography-spanning anthology „Hellbound Train“ was released in July 2022. The double album comprises music from eight albums recorded over 40 years, from as early as his debut for the label, Northern Song, from 1982.
Steve explains the nature of this double-disc set and talks about his collaborators over the years, his influences as well as the tuning and sampling techniques that make his guitar playing so unique.
