For decades, UFO reports from inside the Soviet Union were leaked to various UFO researchers and writers. Flying Saucer Review often printed UFO accounts from behind the Iron Curtain, which was risky, because it was forbidden to write about UFOs in the Soviet Union.


And then, in 1989, UFO secrecy seemed to drop overnight. News of a now infamous landing in Yuzhny Park (South Park) from the industrial city of Voronezh made headlines worldwide. Soon, news of other landings and UFO accounts would fill the pages of UFO journals and supplements, 


Did UFO secrecy really fall, or was there something at work in Russia. I'm joined by Ryan Sprague of the Somewhere in the Skies Podcast to dissect the Voronezh landing and the Russian UFO flap of 1989.
