Plane Crashes with 53 Dogs Onboard

The Humane Animal Welfare Society in Waukesha frequently takes over the custody of dogs from over-crowded shelters in Southern states where they face the risk of euthanasia. These dogs have a higher likelihood of finding a forever home in Wisconsin. The trips to bring these dogs closer to a better life can be grueling and expensive. In November of 2022, one of those trips went horribly wrong.
