This episode is written in such a delicious way, blending exposition and strange character behavior in a perception-annihilating frame of mind. I am shattered, like the fabric of reality poor Riker is experiencing, each time I watch it. Shades of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Waiting for Godot, and The Matrix collide in a tour-de-force performance by Jonathan Frakes.
