In this episode, Reena Singh joins us to discuss her research and one of her recent publications titled, Enhanced Structure and Function of Stem Cell-Derived Beta-Like Cells Cultured on Extracellular Matrix. Dr. Singh is a developmental and stem cell biologist and her current area of research is to develop cell replacement therapy for people living with type 1 diabetes. Dr. Singh is working towards understanding the effect of beta cell niche on its structure and function and modifying the microenvironment to augment stem cell derived-beta cell function.
