Like all homes, the earth we live on needs taking care of and protecting – but sometimes we can get so used to things that we take them for granted. If we forget to show the necessary attention and care, then who’s going to protect the things we love most? This week on NowThis Kids we’re talking about environmental conservation.

Host Naomi Wadler teaches us about how we can learn from Indigenous Peoples and cultures. We speak to Michaela Goade and Carole Lindstrom, about what inspires their activism, how families can get involved in preserving our planet, and their book, We Are Water Protectors.

What does it mean to be Indigenous? Correspondent Luria Freeman explains, as well as why conservation is so important.
