Soul Mate and Twin Flame are Misleading Metaphysical Vocabulary

Soul Mate and Twin Flame are wildly incomplete and often misleading terms for describing the huge diversity of authentic and profound soul connection and affinity that we find with other humans.  This felt experience of rapport and connection of an eternal nature can have its origins in so many things- past life history, soul history, soul essence harmony, soul contracts, and where your soul originated before incarnating on earth.  Those writing about soul mates and twin flames blithely appropriate these rather amorphous terms and provide their own personal definition and meanings.  So, as someone who is constantly trying to use meaningful language to give people context to understand their experiences of the unseen world, I am annoyed at terms that seem to often lead people towards more misunderstanding than clarity.
