Join Ben and Marcel for an interview with Professor Neil Selwyn from the Faculty of Education at Monash Univerity. Prof Selwyn's research focuses on digital media in education, education technology policymaking, and how technology affects the student experience. He has contributed to efforts by the Australian Research Council (ARC), Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), the Gates Foundation, and many others, and written multiple books on the impacts of technology and AI in education.

We explore the challenges of education in the Information age, specifically what Prof. Selwyn calls a shift away from holistic learning and assessment due to the marketisation of education. In the second half of the interview, we discuss the emergency changes to world-wide education stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic.
