We welcome Brady Stablein of rising Alt-Rock Band Brother Elsey to the show.
After a series of EPs, along with intensive self-booked tours, Brother Elsey’s momentum has led to dates with acts like The Head and the Heart, Allen Stone, The Wallflowers, The War and Treaty and SUSTO. Their hard-earned grassroots growth has helped cultivate a loyal following and set them up to make the leap from beloved Detroit act to the national scene. In March, the group showcased at SXSW for the premiere of the IFC film Dandelion, which they are featured in and includes an original score by The National’s Aaron Dessne.
The band's self-titled debut album, (Out Now) via River House Artists was produced by Drew Long (KALEO, Judah & The Lion) and is an insightful coming-of-age portrait, capturing the mystery, euphoria and struggle of modern young adulthood.
In this episode we chat about the Midwest work ethic ethos of the band, mental health, their Michigan pride, their involvement in the Dandelion movie & more.
