As y'all know, vulnerability and transparency are some of my top core values.

And I have not been shy about my struggles with learning how to be a leader. I have had to learn how to hire and onboard and train and retain good people.

Building a team culture and making sure we have all of our systems in place — SOPs, project management, communication tools, how to delegate properly, how to make sure that everybody is aligned with our core values, and even figuring out what our core values are — it's a lot.

It’s hard work. But it’s so worth it.

We're starting a new series called Behind the Team, where guest host Indira Dejtiar pulls back the curtain and introduces you to the people who are making this business work!

We’re kicking off the series with Jayce Dayap, our behind-the-scenes guru for all things admin support, operational systems, and customer service who also has an amazing creative ability. You're going to love her story!

What you’ll learn in this episode:

  • What we want to do with the Behind the Team series
  • Who Jayce is and what she does for our team
  • How hiring her has made Team KK better
  • The value of hiring people who can grow with you
